Some of the types of stories were are seeking include

• small business successes
  
  
• local people of interest
  
  
• favorite restaurants, hotels, and festivals of strictly local ownership (no chains, please)
  
  
• photo essays
  
  
• video essays
  
  
• and stories about travelling through Kansas.

We are especially interested in stories written by middle and high school students that fall into the areas mentioned above. We are considering starting a new section aimed at students called "Voices of Kansas."

What we are likely to pass on (at this time) are fiction, poetry, and recipes (but we're open to being talked into any of these).
